In the Shadow of Disease: The Navajo Bighorn Recovery Effort. This short film was created for Navajo Nation Department of Fish & Wildlife to show the conservation efforts being done to understand the effects of illness and climate change on the bighorn sheep on Navajo Nation. All of this was filmed, and recorded from a helicopter over a span of 3 days.

Image of Navajo Rug

This photo essay was a personal project that is still developing, with my friend Gloria Begay. Gloria is a talented Diné weaver who had me document her finished Navajo rug that was made with all natural dyes. These images are a variety of her finished product but also her picking seeds, and dying Navajo Churro wool.

Climate Change Documentation

This work was filmed at a local lake. I live in a desert/mountain town that has reached record drought records. I found these lake stars that form from temperature differences in the water and environment. Little did I know I was capturing one of the few times it would snow this season.

Dusty field with sandhill cranes

I first learned about conservation photography work in 2018 my senior year of my Journalism Degree in College. I went to college in the town where over 500,000 + Sandhill Cranes migrated. I would after class go sit in the fields and study the movement of cranes. It was after I photographed in a blind with some leading conservation photographers, as a student helping bring food to a workshop, that I saw a whole world open up before me. This series of work is from 8 years ago and a year ago, and the experience of a full circle moment. Photo series coming soon.
