About Sydney

Sydney is a documentary storyteller, photographer and filmmaker based in Durango, Colorado, with over a decade of experience in visual communications and work that’s been displayed internationally in galleries. Her work spans portrait and branding photography, fine art prints, Lead photographer for a corporate company, natural resource storytelling and expedition-driven documentary projects. Sydney also licenses her images, hosts workshops and artist talks, and mentors emerging photographers. Her storytelling practice increasingly incorporates videography and drone, with an emphasis on conservation and advocacy.

Sydney's images have been recognized by Sony Alpha Female on their instagram page and international competitions, and her work has been exhibited in galleries worldwide. She is currently building toward a career at the level of National Geographic and other mission-driven storytelling platforms.

With a photography minor, journalism major and over 10 years of field and client experience, Sydney brings a collaborative spirit to every project. She travels internationally and within the United States. Whether you’re an organization, brand, or fellow creative, she’s open to collaborations that center impact and authenticity.
